Everything You Need to Know about the US Reopening Plans

November 8, 2021, marked the date of the US international travel policy going into effect.

International visitors, traveling by air, land, or ferry, can now come to the US as long as they are fully vaccinated and meet any other criteria. All FDA authorized and approved vaccines, and those with an emergency use listing by the WHO, are accepted to obtain US entry. The vaccine by AstraZeneca, mostly used in Europe and Canada, is also accepted. Sputnik V, a Russian-developed vaccine, has not been approved by either the WHO or the FDA and is not an accepted vaccine for entrance.

FDA Approved

You are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the single-dose vaccine, or the last of a two-dose series. Combination vaccines are also accepted for entry. There are many opportunities available for you and your family in the US. To find out what visa you are eligible for to live and work in the US, contact USA Visa Consultant today.

Relocating To The US?

Testing will still be required for all air travelers, whether vaccinated or not. The testing will be more stringent for unvaccinated air travelers. You must test negative for the virus within three days of the flight’s departure for the US. Unvaccinated foreign nationals, US citizens, or legal permanent residents must test within one day of their flight. Children under two do not need to be tested.
